We humans are really lucky that we have two different things to clear the mess. Toilet’s are designed to flush out the body waste, while the trash cans help us manage the trash. Yet, we mix up things and face home plumbing maintenance issues. So here we are to let you know the things that you should never even think of putting down the toilet.

Floss

The floss that we use to clean our teeth is one of the common things that land up in the toilet. The floss is not biodegradable and. When you start dumping it down the toilet, you might not feel the trouble that is building up. However, in the coming days, after you throw floss after floss, you will have strings of floss group together in your toilet pipe, causing a block. Hence, to avoid plumbing problems, dump the floss in the trash can.

Oil, fats and grease

If you are think that throwing the leftovers in the toilet is the best way to get rid of it, then you’re going to face home plumbing maintenance issues. The toilet is not the place where you can dump oil and grease. Well, initially, the oil is liquid, but later on when you keep doing it on a regular basis, then you will end up building oil on the sides of the drain. So, do not put oil, grease and other things that are not meant for the toilet if you want to avoid plumbing problems.

Band aids

All of us use band aids when we get a scratch or hit something very hard. Band aids are made out of plastic and, similar to the floss, aren’t biodegradable. That makes it very clear that they are not items that can be dumped in the toilet. So, the next time you want to get rid of a used bandaid, you should dump it in a trash can. That is where it is meant to be.

Medications

Yes, you read it right. Medications and tablets are also in the list of things that are commonly found in the toilet. Do you know where it lands up? It is the lake or the river water which ultimately receives this pollutant. It will cause the water to contaminate and also cause serious issues in the time to come.

These are a few things that you should never dump in your toilet. You might feel that you have got rid of the things. However, you are in a way inviting home plumbing maintenance issues that might need an expert like Byron’s Plumbing to help you solve the purpose.
